OMG: More Mountains!

Today was another spectacular day in Spain. I headed out on my own this morning because I was keen to get going before my walking buddies were ready. However, throughout the day I kept meeting up with people I'd already met and i made more new friends along the way. Not far before I was closing in on the town I'd chosen to spend the night in, my two chivalrous walking mates (Vito & Sam) caught up with me. We scored a spot in the town, but sadly, our other padre didn't. For the third day, all the accommodations in town were full by mid afternoon. Not very nice for the tired folks who had walked over 20 kms already.

The scenery was beautiful again today. More mountains to climb, more amazing vistas, more scenic villages and wildflowers in the meadows.

  1. HI Angela
Thank you for taking the time to post your impressions in words and pictures. I guess we will be treated to a slide show on your return from your mega camera. Your rain scenario reminds of having lunch in a bus shelter on the road to el Busto, appropriately named. You will come near it in a couple of days as you wind to los arcos. June is back with the Darlene entourage and stay Camino stoked through your's, marusia's and lise (once her hiking partner recovers) blogs.

How is the mega camera doing by the way, is it a conversation piece with other pilgrims?

  2. Hi mike! I'm having a blast. This is a fabulous adventure for me.

The camera is a burden and I wish I'd taken the time to research smaller ones, but it sure is beautiful here and I'll get some good shots I hope.

Enjoy your walks and I look forward to sharing stories upon my return!!!
