I Like my Feet!

My feet are awesome. They've carried me and my 20 pound pack over 200 kms this last week and have not complained at all. Who knew one could walk so much everyday?

We had a blast over dinner last night in Logrono. We had to stifle our crazy giggling when we retired to the albergues... We pilgrims traditionally are not supposed to be having this much fun...

We did a leisurely walk today because we had smartly reserved beds here in Najera for tonight.  Many of our pilgrim friends are turned away each day because they aren't getting to the alberges in time to find a bed. It's tough to find a place to sleep on the camino these days.

I've been travelling with Sven from Sweden and the new love of his life, Lise from Calgary, along with about 4 others. We are an amazing little team and we each have something to contribute to the group.

We laugh at all the wonderful things that we learn from this experience and each other. We particularly enjoy observing all the little gifts the camino provides for
us - everything from returned cell phones to the free beer that the vending machine just produced for me!  (Ya gotta love a country that let's you choose from coke or beer from a machine...)

It rained almost all day and its very cold, but we don't care. I am happy to be here and I feel like I'm exactly where I should be.
